Welcome to Selo/Shevel Gallery

WELCOME TO SELO/SHEVELGALLERY.COM!
We are so happy you have found us and invite you to take a look at the treasures we have assembled for you here. Our pledge is to provide you access to the finest hand-crafted American and imported folk art available, to make your shopping experience (whether in person or online) exciting and convenient, and to provide you with the very best in customer service.
For twenty-seven years we have represented some of the leading artists in hand blown glass, ceramics, wood and jewelry as well as wearable textiles and mixed media. The gallery is also unusual in that it combines handmade objects from around the world with American crafts. It is our belief that beautiful and interesting pieces can work well together regardless of where they were made.
This web site contains only a fraction of our extensive and ever changing collection. For that reason we hope that you have a chance to visit our gallery in person, where you have a chance to actually touch and feel these wonderful pieces. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy perusing our web site. We would love to talk with you and to help you find exactly what you are looking for so please do not hesitate to call or email us.
News
Here at Selo/Shevel we have been preparing for the summer events happening here in Ann Arbor. It is time once again for Summerfest, Ann Arbor Art Fairs, graduations and weddings. We have just received a large shipment of Jaguar Glass, shown in the photo. This collection features etched glass wine goblets, champagne flutes and vases at affordable prices. All of these items are perfect for summer entertaining. Also shown in the photo are hand-dyed scarves by Alarte Silks owned by Izabela and Jacob Sauer. We have received a shipment of their new designs which feature exotic, lush colors to embellish your summer wardrobe. The colors that Izabela and Jacob use to dye the silk are reminiscent of the South Pacific Islands.
Included in the new arrivals are a variety of tables, salad servers and cutting boards by Tom Svec. Some of the woods he has used to make these items are ash, butternut, cherry, locust and maple. We also would like to remind you that Art Fairs 2009 will be taking place from Wednesday, July 15th through Saturday, July 18th. Our hours throughout the Art Fairs will be 10 am to 10 pm on Wednesday, July 15th through Friday, July 17th; 10 am to 6 pm Saturday, July 18th; Closed Sunday, July 19th. We hope to see you soon.
